We depend on the generosity of the local community to sustain excellent instrumental music education for our youth, now and in the future.  Spring Fling is our biggest fund raiser of the year and is a great opportunity to involve all embers of the community in supporting our wonderful kids.

We're still waiting on the Video Club for information about the DVD progress.  Orders and payments will be held until the disks are ready.  Check back here for more updates - every effort will be made to get a resolution this week.

National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists

Congratulations to Richard Allman of Jazz A, Aisling Last in Wind Ensemble, and Nicole Cooper and Jinie Haytko who perform in both Wind Ensemble and Marching Band!  These are four of just five students at Monte Vista who have qualified as National Merit Program Semifinalists.  Their scores on the PSAT/NMSQT exam place them in the top 1% of the class of 2010 nationwide.

Several other Instrumental Music students have also garnered recognition by their performance on various advanced placement exams.  Please extend your personal congratulations to all of these students who help demonstrate the value of combing arts with academics in a well rounded education.
